Bollywood actress who ventured into the world of politics this year, Kangana Ranaut has emerged winner in Himachal Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2024 for the Mandi constituency.?Expressing her gratitude, she said, "Heartfelt gratitude to all Mandi residents for this support, this love and trust This victory is of all of you, this is the victory of faith in Prime Minister Modi and BJP, this is the victory of Sanatan, this is the victory of the honour of Mandi."
In an interview with Aaj Tak, the Bollywood actress had said that she will quit the film industry if she wins Lok Sabha Elections from Mandi constituency. She added, "The film world is a lie, everything there is fake. They create a very different environment. It is a glossy world like a fake bubble which is to attract the audience. This is the reality. I am a very passionate person. I never wanted to do a job because I had to. Even in films I start writing, and when I get bored of playing a role, I direct or produce, so I have a very fertile mind and I want to be passionately engaged."
During one of her rallies, Kangana Ranaut highlighted the challenges faced by Himachal Pradesh and criticized the state Congress government for alleged mismanagement and inefficiency. She claimed that union government funds allocated for flood relief were misused and underscored the need for accountable governance.
Addressing a gathering of villagers in Larankelon village in Manali,?Kangana said that a film city would be opened in Manali to facilitate the shooting of national and international films.?
She also said that she would make efforts to promote tourism in Manali and added, "An airport would be developed in Manali and road infrastructure would be improved."
While talking to News 18, the actress said, "There are so many things which need to be done on a large scale. But, basic things are missing.?There are basic structural issues. My primary focus is bare necessities. Roads are in bad condition, schools and hospitals. I need to work on those."?
