His songs meant so much to the 90s kids - the songs that we hugged and cried to during school and college farewell and the songs that made butterflies?in our stomachs swirl somersaults. Vishal Bhardwaj and Shaan's heartfelt tribute for KK
The entire industry is in shock, everyone is finding it hard to believe that he has gone away too soon. Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj is heartbroken too. In a brief note on Instagram, he revealed how they both started their careers together, gave their first hit together, and have so many memories to cherish.?
"Mera chhota Bhaiyaa," he wrote.
Vishal Bhardwaj revealed that they came together from Delhi to Mumbai, the city of dreams.?
"Hum saath aaye thay dilli se.?Humara pehla break, pehli film, pehli kaamyaabi ek saath- MAACHIS?(KK in Chhodh aaye hum wo galiyan. Also no one knows that he sang the 2nd music in Lata jee¡¯s paani paani re)?Anginat lamhe.. anginat yaadein..?Bepanah dard..?Bichhdey sabhee baari baari.."
KK's friend and colleague Shaan shared a video where he is performing?Pal along with him.?
The video is as heartwarming as the caption that reads, "Can¡¯t even believe I¡¯m posting this .. could never ever have imagined .. KK IS FOREVER !!! He Loved and Lived and Sang and Smiled like No other !! Always straight from the Heart!! My Brother Is a Rockstar ¡ forever .."
On Twitter, he wrote, "Life breaks you little by little .. and once in a while.. it destroys you .. KK will always remain that Eternal Boy, who refused to grow up.. he stayed unadulterated uncorrupted.. How he did it through all these years .. kept it Simple and Straight from the Heart!!".
KK performed at a concert organised by a college at Nazrul Mancha in south Kolkata for almost an hour in the evening. He was "feeling heavy" after reaching his hotel, and soon collapsed, officials said.?
He was taken to a nearby private hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, they said. "KK was brought to the hospital around 10 pm. It's unfortunate that we could not treat him," a senior official of the hospital said. Doctors at the hospital said they suspected "cardiac arrest" to be the cause of the death. A senior officer of the Kolkata Police told PTI that a post-mortem would be conducted on Wednesday to ascertain the exact reason for the death.
