Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 9: Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna recently headlined a magnum opus which is winning hearts in theatres like anything. Released worldwide on 14th February, this Laxman Utekar directorial is now inching closer to the Rs 400 crore mark in just 10 days. Here¡¯s a quick look at its global gross so far and domestic net till Day 9.
According to Sacnilk, Chhaava earned Rs 44 crore on Day 9 (February 22) which is about 87% growth from its Day 8 collections which was Rs 23.5 crore. With India's net currently standing at Rs 286.75 crore and worldwide gross at Rs 50.25 crore, Chhaava¡¯s worldwide collection reaches Rs 385 crore. Without any doubt, the film will benefit from Sunday gross and enter the Rs 400 crore club smoothly.
The Times of India rated the movie 3.5 out of 5 and a part of their review read, ¡°Chhaava¡¯s redeeming factor is its terrific climax. Vicky Kaushal is breathtaking as he exudes Sambhaji Maharaj¡¯s valour and passion for swarajya (self-rule) like it were his second skin. You just wish the film relied on and trusted its story more than Rahman's music, which largely feels out of place.¡±
Based on the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant, the historic actioner also stars Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Neil Bhoopalam, Ashutosh Rana and Divya Dutta among others. Produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Chhaava was made on a reported budget of Rs 100 crore and is already enjoying a massive profit margin.
This AR Rahman musical is cinematographed by Saurabh Goswami and edited by Manish Pradhan. Did you watch Chhaava in theatres? Review it @indiatimes.
