Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 5: Vicky Kaushal recently arrived in theatres with his highly anticipated period drama which witnessed a promising start at the box office. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film in its first five days has successfully managed to enter the Rs 200 crore club. However, the growth percentage has fallen drastically. Here¡¯s a look at its detailed gross so far!
According to Sacnilk, Chhaava earned Rs 25.25 crore on Day 5 (February 18) which is just 5% growth from its previous day net which was Rs 24 crore. With a domestic gross of Rs 198.85 crore, India net of Rs 165.75 crore and an overseas collection of Rs 30 crore, Chaava¡¯s worldwide gross stands at Rs. 228.85 crore. The film is facing competition from Vidaamuyarchi, Thandel and Sanam Teri Kasam in theatres.
The Times of India rated the movie Rs 3.5 out of 5 and a part of their review read, ¡°Chhaava¡¯s excellence lies in its gripping second half and a terrific climax. Vicky Kaushal is breathtaking as he exudes Sambhaji Maharaj¡¯s valour and passion for Swaraj like it were his second skin. You just wish the film relied on and trusted its solid story more than Rahman's music, which largely feels out of place.¡±
The death of the great Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who built and led the Maratha Empire to amazing victories, brought relief to the Mughals. But little did they know, that by trying to expand their empire in the Deccan, they would now have to face his brave son, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who was just as fierce.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, the film is an adaptation of Shivaji Sawant¡¯s Marathi novel Chhava also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna in key roles.
