Actress Hina Khan made her Punjabi film debut with the Gippy Grewal-led 2024 comedy Shinda Shinda No Papa. This hilarious ride is now all set to release on Chaupal on October 31st and the worldwide fans of this ensemble cannot wait to see the drama and fun unfold. The?Amarpreet GS Chhabra directorial also marked the acting debut of Gippy¡¯s son Shinda Grewal and earned Rs 38.4 crores globally.
Indiatimes sat in a t¨ºte-¨¤-t¨ºte conversation with the Grewal father-son duo where they poured their hearts out about the film and more.
We asked Shinda Grewal about that one thing he hopes people will remember post watching his film on Chaupal, the 12-year-old told us, ¡°I believe audiences will deeply connect with the heartwarming bond between their parents.¡± Gippy, on the other hand, rather had a heartwarming response as he feels the movie holds a very ¡®special place¡¯ in his heart.
Sr Grewal told us, ¡°Beyond my on-screen bond with Shinda, the film showcases talented young artists and offers a heartwarming exploration of parenthood. I'm delighted it's coming to Chaupal, sharing this beautiful story with a wider audience.¡±
This Punjabi film was a few of the last on-screen appearances of the Bigg Boss 11 diva after which she fully went on to dedicate her time to getting treated for cancer. For those who don¡¯t know, Hina Khan was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in June this year and often updates about her health via social media.
Indiatimes asked both of our guests about their experience of working with Hina to which Gippy Grewal was quick to respond, ¡°Hina's strength is contagious. Our conversations leave me in awe. She's fighting hard, and I know she'll overcome this tough phase, emerging more radiant than ever.¡±
Shinda, on the other hand, expressed, ¡°Hina Didi is pure love! She's incredibly brave and vibrant. I cherish our time together. Sending all my love and best wishes for her speedy recovery. May she bounce back stronger than ever!¡±
Further in conversation, the junior Shinda admitted that while acting is his prime passion, he is diligently focused on upskilling his football outing as well. Having forayed into acting at such a young age, we also asked Shinda how he manages both projects and education, he detailed to us, ¡°Whenever I¡¯m on holiday, papa schedules filming around my dates. After wrapping up, my teachers and friends are proud of me even though they don¡¯t get to watch me on the big screen.¡±

Also, a chartbuster singer, Gippy then spoke about his son Shinda¡¯s acting outing and told us, ¡°Nothing compares to the joy of watching my son's debut. Seeing him shine on screen, brings me unparalleled happiness.¡± Asked about the three key lessons he¡¯d like his son to acquire to have a brighter future, the Carry on Jatta actor said, ¡°Stay grounded and humble,? ?balance passion and patience and keep authenticity over validation.¡±
