Not only fans even director?Ajay Bhupathi has slammed Arshad Warsi over his brutally honest opinion about Kalki 2898 AD. His remark saying that he didn't like the film at all, found Prabhas' character in the movie a joker and that he expected more of a Mad Max-style hasn't gone down well with many. Well, this is not the first time he stirred a controversy with his honest opinion. Here are other times when Warsi was unabashedly himself.?
In an interview for?Unfiltered By?Samdish, Warsi said,?"Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he... he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata".?
Not many people know that before Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Sanjay Dutt and even Arshad Warsi hosted the initial seasons of Bigg Boss. In fact, he was the host of the first season which had contestants like Rahul Roy,?Amit Sadh, Ravi Kishan, Rupali Ganguly, Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah and Bobby Darling among others. In the second season, he was replaced by Shilpa Shetty. Talking about why he was replaced, he said?he was shooting for a film in London and wasn't available on the dates.
In an interview with India Today, the actor said, "Munna Bhai 3 may not happen. Furthermore, he revealed that Rajkumar Hirani has three scripts ready. However, being the perfectionist, he is not satisfied with any one of those. "He will say 'main kar raha ho... ek baar script fix ho jaaye na, mujhe yeh pasand nahi woh pasand nahi'. Once he crosses that stage, he will start." He also labelled the delay as "weird".?
While speaking to News Agency IANS, he said, "I am not doing it... Akshay is doing it. I was supposed to do it, but fox star studios needed a bigger star, so they chose Akshay." He was of course disappointed. Now in the third instalment of the movie, Akshay and Arshad will both have prominent roles.
In a virtual interview with PTI, Arshad Warsi said that he still craves for appreciation and feels he is not yet a part of the industry. Saying that it's tough for outsiders, he said, "Sadly, I've been here for almost 27 years, and I still can't say that I'm part of the industry. Every time I give a flop, I've to take a long climb to get back to where I was."
