Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja's Delhi Home Robbed, Cash & Jewellery Worth Crores Reportedly Missing

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja have found themselves in a difficult position as their New Delhi home got robbed. The thieves have reportedly stolen cash and jewellery amounting to Rs 2.41 crore.

As per a report in TOI, the Delhi Police issued a statement saying that they received a complaint from Harish Ahuja's (Sonam’s father-in-law) home regarding a burglary in February. Anand Ahuja's mom rushed to file a complaint at?Tughlaq Road police station and investigations began immediately.?

Sarla Ahuja had lodged the complaint?on February 23 however she got to know about the robbery on February 11, reveal police officials. The case was kept confidential until now since it was a high profile case.?Senior police?officials from New Delhi are on the case and special squads are being formed to investigate the incident, reports suggest.

TOI quotes?Amrutha Guguloth, DCP New Delhi, Delhi Police, saying in a statement, “A complaint was made on Feb 23 that there was a theft at the residence of Harish Ahuja, at Amrita Shergill Marg. They complained that some cash and jewellery combined worth Rs 2.4 crore was stolen. They had noticed it on Feb 11 but filed the complaint on February 23. An FIR was registered under IPC Section 381 at Tughlaq Road Police Station on Feb 23, and an investigation started. Teams have been formed, and an examination of the evidence is underway.”

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's home has 25 employees, with nine caretakers, drivers, and others. The case is still being investigated and there is no identification of the accused person(s). Along with Delhi Police, the FSL is also involved in the case. The CCTV footages are also being checked.

As of now, Sonam, who is expecting her first child with Anand, is in Mumbai at her father, actor Anil Kapoor's home.?
