Karan Singh Grover and Jennifer Winget became one of television's most talked-about couples when they starred together in the medical drama Dill Mill Gayye in 2009. Their on-screen chemistry soon turned into a real-life romance, leading to their marriage in 2012. While both have moved on in their respective lives, recently, the show's director, Siddharth P Malhotra, opened up about their early relationship and the pressures Karan faced due to his rising stardom.
Speaking in an interview, Siddharth shared that fans still reach out to him, hoping for a sequel to Dill Mill Gayye with Karan reprising his role as Dr. Armaan.?
Reflecting on Karan and Jennifer's love story, he noted that their frequent romantic scenes on set played a role in bringing them closer. "Their romance started on set," he recalled. "They had to perform romantic sequence upon romantic sequence with each other, and it was a proper rom-com."
Describing Karan as effortlessly charming, Siddharth added, "He was, then and now, a good looking man, a charming man and of course, he had women flocking towards him and he fell in love. He genuinely fell in love with her. Otherwise why would he gotten married? They got married."
However, their marriage ended just a few years later.
In 2016, Karan found love again on the sets of Alone and married actor Bipasha Basu. The couple has since embraced parenthood, welcoming their daughter, Devi, in 2022.
In 2024, Grover appeared in Siddharth Anand's action film Fighter, sharing the screen with Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor.
