What exactly happened—explained

The incident took place at Mumbai's Galaxy Theatre and resulted in a pause of 15–20 minutes while the movie was running. The situation was addressed after people described their distress.

What action did the police take?

Police officials are still investigating the source and intent behind the incident. As of now, no one is held responsible for the act. Investigation findings are still awaited.

Meanwhile, a stampede incident was also registered at the Hyderabad screening that even claimed a life. This was a separate incident that took place on December 4. Audiences gathered to have a look at actor Allu Arjun outside Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre, where the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule was scheduled. The crowd outside the theatre was out of control, and that's what resulted in the stampede.

The chaos also led to a police lathi charge. Unfortunately, one woman lost her life in the stampede incident, and even a child was injured.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Zone, Hyderabad), a case has been registered at Chikkadpally Police Station, and stringent action will be taken against those responsible for the disorder.
