Once a winner of a reality TV show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs in 2011, 18-year-old Azmat Hussain stunned everyone when he turned up for the auditions for another singing reality TV show ¨C Indian Idol season 11.
A lot of actors, musicians and artistes in the past have admitted to have ruined their career because of drug addiction. Who knew 18-year-old Azmat Hussain, who received name and fame at a young age, would be one of them.
When he turned up on the stage, he was recognised by the judge Neha Kakkar. He then made the revelation that he got into bad company and was addicted to drugs. So much so, that he started hating his own voice and gave up singing for three years. But now, he gathered courage to participate in Indian Idol this year.

Vishal Dadlani who is also a judge on the show said, "We will do whatever we can to encourage him, this I promise you. The vocal coaches at Indian Idol will definitely help #Azmat find his voice again, and we will try to help him recover his love for music."
Azmat Hussain was one of the most loved singers on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs season 8. From ghazals to different genres, he could sing every song very well and had so many fans who voted for him to make him the winner.
It will be interesting to see how Indian Idol judges will train him so that he gains his confidence back. Will he emerge as the winner? Indian Idol 11 airs on Sony TV on Saturday at 8 pm.
