FDCI's Hyundai India Couture Week 2024's Day 5 started with Amit Aggarwal's futuristic presentation. The collection was a breath of fresh air in the Indian Couture fraternity with unique and thought-provoking avant-garde designs.?
With the thought that time is an enigmatic force - intangible & eternal, the designer's?collection Antevorta, which is used in Greek philosophy to personify the Goddess of Future.?
Antevorta is a minor Roman goddess associated with the future. She?specifically represents looking forward or the anticipation of future events, which is reflected in the designer's collection accurately.?
The collection delved into the profound connection between time and the universe, highlighting that nothing exists outside its influence. Talking about his collection, the designer said,?"The collection is inspired by the five concepts of time - philosophy, science, religion, mythology, and math. Each section was designed as one philosophy around time. I believe in the cyclic nature of time, and I feel that the past, present, and future continue into an?eternal?loop."
Apart from the enigmatic avant-garde designs, the designer made a case for sustainability by repurposing used Banrasi sarees in unrecognizable silhouettes.?
The models walked out in structural garments that mirrored the ethos of Amit Aggarwal's design language. His signature metallic polymer strips were used throughout the collection.?
