You think you have the worst ex? Well, it¡¯s the same with all of us.
An ex is an ex because of a reason and we¡¯re sure you too might've dated someone who made the whole relationship an extremely unpleasant experience. But some of us have it worse than the others. People of Reddit talked about the worst relationships they¡¯ve been in and it makes for pure horror stories:
1. "He was extremely emotional and put one hundred percent into whichever way he was feeling that day. Some days he was so cuddly and obsessed with me and wanted me around all the time, other days he ignored me and called me clingy and said that I never give him any space. Even a small argument would turned into a huge blow up with him literally shouting inches from my face. It eventually got to the point where I couldn't handle his mood swings. When he was affectionate it was amazing, but that other side of him scared me and I just couldn't do it. I feel like he needed professional help, but I was young and didn't know what to do."

2. "She went from 0 to 10 in an argument in an instant. Every little thing was met with yelling and tears. She was also a huge liar. The thing that finally broke us up was her telling me she had had an abortion weeks earlier when she never told me she was pregnant. So either she did this without telling me, which makes her a shitty person, or she's lying just to hurt me, which makes ever worse. I didn't need any of that."

3. "She cheated on me and later told me that it was rape. When I said she needs to call the cops to get this sorted out, she insisted she can't do that. Eventually she told me she just cheated on me and made up the rape story because she didn't want to tell. This could have ruined her life or his if I had called the cops on a false rape claim. I didn't learn my lesson and got back with her. When I tried to break it off eventually, she claimed she was then pregnant with my child, which was also a lie considering we hadn't had sex in months (long distance). After weeks of not talking, she called to tell me she would kill herself if I didn't talk to her again. I called the cops with her address telling them she was threatening to commit suicide. She's alive and I imagine doing the same shit as always."

4. "My ex (10 years ago) tried to kill me twice, was physically and mentally abusive, fueled my eating disorder on purpose I believe, and then tried to punch my kitten to hurt me. For Christmas, he bought me a giant bag of candy. When I started to eat from it, he said something like, "Stop eating that shit you'll get fat.". So, I threw it all away. I finally left him after a year and a half of living with him when he threatened to punch my kitten. I haven't been in a relationship since."

5. "My worst relationship was with a guy a year older than me. He was very emotionally abusive and a complete control freak. He had me followed by one of his friends whenever I was in school. He would report back with people I had been talking to and anything he had overheard. And then I would get questioned. He would smoke cannabis a lot which only fueled his paranoia. He constantly accused me of cheating and constantly tried to distance me from my family and friends. He would force me to have sex with him and when I said I wasn't ready, he cheated on me with my best friend so. Good riddance to bad rubbish."

She signed me up for an expensive rehab program because she knew it was one that would prescribe Valium and her doctors were no longer interested in giving her that drug; she wanted me to share after my stint. I went, sobered-up, and refused anything mind-altering, then dumped her."

7. "He thought it was hilarious to imply in public that he was abusive and watch no one come to my aid. He would grab me by the arm, shake me, lean in close like he was threatening me, then laugh when no one tried to stop him. He told me that as a woman, I would never have any authority in the relationship, and that I would be allowed to make inconsequential choices only.?When I no longer wanted to be in a relationship, he asked how much it would cost to just buy me. Forced himself on me and said he hoped I got pregnant, this way he could have me forever."

8. "Was watching a movie with my best friend when I got a text from my little brother saying my dad was pissed at me and that I needed to go home ASAP. I thoroughly freaked out because at the time, I hadn't done anything to piss my dad. I apologized profusely to my friend because we were literally only 20 minutes into the movie and I had to leave. He was understanding because that's the kind of person he is. I rushed home and noticed a familiar car in my driveway, but thought nothing of it. I sheepishly peered into my dad's room and asked how he was doing and he was talking to me normally. My adrenaline rush slowly dies down and I go to my room and let things process for a bit. Legit thought I was nuts and re-read my brother's text 10 times to make sure I got everything he said correctly. I went to my brother's room to ask what that was about and he said to go outside. Went outside, the familiar car from earlier was actually my girlfriend's and she was waiting inside. Turns out she had my little brother text me that so I'd come home and spend time with her. I told her the night before that I'd be with my best friend who had come home from university a state over to hang out with me on that weekend."

9. "He cheated on me multiple times and then gaslighted me whenever I confronted him about it. He also couldn't stand me being friends with guys. He kept talking to this girl he cheated on me with and told me I just "have to accept it". He would also blame the cheating on his depression and the only way to sort it out was to have sex at least 3 times a day. I would tell him I didn't want to and he would still force it on me and make it last as long as possible (up to 2 hours). He would stop only when I was about to start crying or if I was about to actually try to push him off of me. Then he would literally go to a corner and whine about how I never wanted sex with him. I have so many issues with sex now because of him."
