On Monday an official said that sixteen "high-risk contacts" of the delivery have tested negative for coronavirus."All 16 high-risk contacts of pizza delivery boy have tested negative. They are colleagues of the pizza delivery agent who was infected with coronavirus recently,¡± south Delhi District Magistrate B M Mishra told PTI.?
Mishra said the district administration has not conducted COVID-19 tests on members of 72 families as they have not shown any symptoms of the infection so far.?
The pizza delivery boy testing positive for COVID-19 had also raised questions about the safety of delivery agents at a time when more people are depending on their services due to the lockdown.?
Meanwhile, the Savitri Nagar area in Malviya Nagar where the pizza delivery boy lives was notified as a coronavirus containment zone. The area has now been added to the list of containment zones or the COVID-19 affected and high-risk areas to contain the spread of the infection.Following the identification of the Savitri Nagar area in Malviya Nagar as a containment zone, several houses have been sealed with immediate effect to contain the spread of the infection.?
Delhi government has decided not to give any relaxations in the ongoing lockdown restrictions in the Capital at least for a week, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Sunday. The decision was taken considering a sudden spike in COVID-19 cases, including many asymptomatic people. The CM said that out of the 736 samples collected on Saturday, 186 were found infected and all of them had not shown any symptoms.
