Getting veggies from the street vendor is a 'cheap thrill' in India because we can ask for extras like dhaniya and a few green chillies here and there. However, when we buy groceries online, even a small charge for dhaniya can feel like a lot. Luckily, it seems like Blinkit has heard what customers want!
For lots of people in India, getting veggies just isn't the same without the nice bonus of free coriander leaves. But when you order veggies online from places like Blinkit, you miss out on that.?
Highlighting this, a Blinkit user on X shared, "Mom got a mini heart attack because she had to pay for dhaniya on Blinkit."
Tagging Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa on X, he said, "Mom is suggesting that you should bundle it for free with certain amount of veggies."
Ankit might have spoken up about what many others probably felt but never imagined would change.?
But guess what? Dhindsa listened and took action.?
By around 11 pm on the same day Ankit posted, Dhindsa had made the 'free coriander' feature happen.
Sharing the news on X, he said, "ItĄ¯s live! Everyone please thank AnkitĄ¯s mom. We will polish the feature in next couple of weeks."
People recognised the impact of the update.?
One commented, "What a great strategy to attract more customers!!"
Another remarked, "This dhaniya update is worth a billion dollar in market cap. 5% higher closing tomorrow."
"That's literally every mom ever, but thanks! Mine would be happy too," added another.
Many were impressed by how quickly it was put into action.?
"By far the one of the most impressive usage of Social Media ( X specifically ) and fast implementation by the company. Betting big time on Zomato & Blinkit!," said another.
