In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old woman named Nikki Yadav, allegedly murdered by her live-in partner, was found lying inside a freezer in Delhi's Najafgarh area on Tuesday. Now, fresh details have emerged in the murder shocker.
The deceased, 22-year-old Nikki Yadav, was strangled at the Kashmiri Gate ISBT. As per India Today, the accused allegedly strangled the deceased with his phone's data cord in his car.?The body was recovered from a dhaba and the victim is said to be a resident of Jhajjar, Haryana.
The accused, in this case, a 24-year-old Dhaba owner named Sahil Gahlot, was in a relationship with the deceased. He has been arrested and an initial probe has revealed that the woman was allegedly killed 2 to 3 days ago.
The accused had not informed his family members about his relationship. Sahil's family pressured him to get married to some other woman and finalised his marriage date for February 10. When Nikki learned about it, she confronted Sahil and an argument started between the duo.
According to the police, Sahil strangulated Nikki with the help of a data cable of his mobile phone kept in his car. Thereafter, he went to the dhaba owned by him and put her dead body in a refrigerator. The dhaba is situated on a vacant plot on the outskirts of Mitraon village. He then went to his home and solemnised his marriage to another woman.
Shortly after, another case came to light where a 37-year-old man from Maharashtra's Palghar killed his live-in partner and stuffed her body in a mattress, as per reports.?A case has been registered at Tulinj Police station in Palghar district.
The recent murders come as a reminder of the horrific Mehrauli murder case in which a man named Aaftab Poonawala murdered his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar by strangling her and cutting her body into 35 pieces which he kept in a 300-litre fridge for almost three weeks at his residence in the locality that lies in South Delhi before dumping them across the city.
