The coronavirus pandemic has forced changed in our lives on so many levels. It has also led to weddings being low-key affair than they usually are, and social distancing being part of ceremonies, more as a ritual.?
How about this for a story. A day after the groom overcame coronavirus, the hospital staff blessed the newly wed couple with gifts and sang songs as they walked out of the hospital - this unusual but beautiful scene was witnessed at Howrah's Sanjiban Hospital treating COVID-19 infected patients.?
It wasn't what 28-year-old Supriyo Banerjee, the groom, would have expected, but he won't care one bit. He had met his bride-to-be at a wedding before the lockdown. For the next two months, their bond grew stronger and both decided to get hitched.?
As per a report in Times Now, on June 2, they went to a temple and got married. After the initial opposition from their families, both sides accepted the marriage and decided to hold a small reception day after the wedding to bless the newly wedded couple.?
On June 4, preparations were in full swing at the groom's house for the reception ceremony. Both families were celebrating the marriage of their children. Later that night, an official from Dasnagar Police Station arrived at the groom's house, to throw shade at the celebrations.?
He informed the Banerjee that his COVID-19 report had arrived and he had tested positive. The next day he was admitted at a COVID-19 designated hospital, but his second test report on June 13 came negative bringing relief to his family.?
Now that the groom had recovered, his newly wed wife went to the hospital to get him discharged. Both dressed in their wedding attire left the hospital to begin their new journey.??
