Indians love travelling in trains. The noise of the whistling wind, the wobbly voyage, and having your typical landscape change in every 15 minutes is what a train journey in India looks like.
And just when we thought that it couldn¡¯t get any better, Indian Railways revealed its plan for having coaches with glass ceilings.

It was only last month when they proposed the idea of having state-of-the-art infotainment systems,?movies, television shows, music, sports, kids shows, spirituality, games, governance, news, fashion and lifestyle along with news, online books and magazines.
They¡¯ve now confirmed the glass ceiling coaches too, starting December.
¡°These coaches will have rotatable chairs to provide the passengers with an aerial view. The coaches also have ample leg space and are also equipped with state-of-the-art infotainment systems,¡± Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) chairperson and managing director AK Manocha said.
Manocha further clarified that the main motive behind this move is to attract travellers across the globe.

A Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory in consultation with the IRCTC and the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) will put these coaches together at the cost of 4 crores per piece.
¡°We believe such coaches would also give a fillip to rail tourism in India,¡± he said.
The proposed coaches will first start functioning in the magical lands of Kashmir, followed by Araku Valley in Vishakhapatnam.
Authorities confirmed that these coaches will have world-class amenities with extra leg space and luxurious interiors.
