Who killed gangster Sukhdool Singh, alias Sukha Duneke, in Canada? Two rival gangs, that of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, have claimed responsibility for the murder that took place in Winnipeg, Canada.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang was the first to claim responsibility for killing Duneke, a Punjab-born Sukhdool Singh, alias Sukha Duneke.
In a Facebook post, the Bishnoi gang claimed that the murder was revenge for the killing of Gurlal Brar, a close relative of gangster Goldy Brar, whose real name is Satinderjeet Singh.
Goldy Brar is one of the closest confidants of Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently in jail in connection with the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala.
Goldy Brar, who left India for Canada on a student visa in 2017, is said to be the one who planned and executed the killing of Moose Wala on May 29, 2022.
Gurlal Brar, a former student leader of the Student Organisation of Panjab University (SOPU), was killed in October 2020 by two motorcycle-borne men who pumped at least six bullets into his body outside a nightclub in Chandigarh's Phase-1 Industrial Area.
Gurlal had been facing several criminal cases. The murder was executed by alleged members of the Davinder Bambiha gang.
His killing had allegedly triggered a rivalry between Davinder Bambiha and Lawrence Bishnoi?gangs.
"Sukhdool had murdered our brother Gurlal Brar and was also behind the killing of Vicky Middukhera as well as kabaddi player Sandeep Nagal Ambian," the Bishnoi gang claimed.
Another Punjab-based gangster, Bhagwanpuria, once a close aide of Bishnoi, also claimed responsibility for the killing by saying he took revenge for Ambian.
Duneke, a member of the Davinder Bambiha gang, was reportedly shot dead by unidentified assailants.?
Duneke, originally from Moga district of Punjab, had allegedly fled the country in 2017 with the help of local policemen.?
Sukha Duneke obtained a passport and police clearance certificate on forged documents with the help of these policemen to flee to Canada, even as seven criminal cases were registered against him.
In 2022, Duneke allegedly conspired to kill kabaddi player Sandeep Singh Nangal with the help of his associates during a kabaddi match at Mallian village in Jalandhar.
He was allegedly associated with the pro-Khalistan outfits and was said to be linked to Canada-based Khalistan operative Arshdeep Singh, aka Arsh Dala, a designated terrorist in India.
