Over the past few months, there the news headlines across the world have been dominated by one word - Coronavirus. From China, where it all began to the US, Europe and Africa the world has been hit by the outbreak.It has become so wide that even a friendly conversation between two people would naturally end up being about Covid-19.?
While there is any number of people including scientists and doctors racing against time to find a cure for the pandemic, there are others like Swami Chakrapani of the Hindu Mahasabha who has been going around town claiming that cow dung and urine can cure Coronavirus and a Baba who was arrested for selling Covid-19 cure.?
There are also others trying to get some attention. We are talking about Sudhir Kumar Ojha, a resident of Muzaffarpur in Bihar, and a lawyer by profession.Ojha has filed a complaint in a Muzaffarpur court against Chinese President Xi Jinping and China's ambassador to India, Sun Weidong, for allegedly "hatching a conspiracy to spread coronavirus".?
According to him, there was a book that said China was working on some virus and now it seems Corona is the one they were working on.Ojha said that coronavirus has originated from China's Wuhan city in December 2019 and now claimed the lives of more than thousands of persons in many countries including three in India.The matter is slated for hearing before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate on April 11.?
Ojha is a serial litigant who has filed several such cases in the past.The most recent being a case against celebrities who had written an open letter to PM Modi over mob lynchings.Ojha had alleged that by writing the letter, the celebrities were trying to tarnish the image of the country.?
Last month he had filed a case against AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and his party leader Waris Pathan over the '15 crore Muslims can be heavy on 100 crore' remark.Others who have been on the receiving end of Ojha's case include Amitabh Bachchan, Manmohan Singh, Sachin Tendulkar, Salman Khan, Asaram Bapu, Rahul Gandhi and many more.?
Once he even filed a case against Raveena Tandon and two others for allegedly disrupting road traffic during her visit to the Muzaffarpur.?
This is the third complaint cases filed by Ojha against any international political figure after he filed the second case against Pakistan PM Imran Khan in 2019.By his own admission, Ojha has filed around 750 cases, mostly PIL on various subjects.??
