Kashmiris living outside the state, running business and studying in colleges across the country have been on the receiving end of the backlash following the Pulwama terror attack last month which killed over 40 CRPF personnel.
In yet another such shameful incident two Kashmiri street vendors selling dry fruits on in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow were assaulted for being Kashmiris.
The incident happened on Wednesday, when a mob, identified to be from a little known fringe group called Vishwa Hindu Dal confronted the men and began assaulting them with sticks while hurling abuses at them. The goons were also making videos of the incident.?
In the video the attackers can been heard demanding the two men to show their Aadhaar cards.?
The goons continued the assault until an unidentified local, who witnessed it intervened, questioned them on taking law into their hands.?
Based on the video posted online by the goons, Police have filed an FIR against unknown persons and arrested one person identified as Bajrang Sonkar.
Another attacker, identified as Himanshu Awasthi, who on his Facebook profile claims to be a "former politician" with the BJP has is still on the run.?
