Getting soap bars, bricks, stones, etc in the package instead of what was ordered, when buying stuff online has become a not so rare case these days.??
But a man from Kerala was left stumped when he got a real passport of a random person inside the package of a product he had ordered online.
Midhun Babu from Wayanad had ordered a passport cover from Amazon on October 30. The order was delivered to him on November 1.
But when he opened the package, he also found the passport of one Muhammad Salih, a resident of Kunnamkulam in Thrissur inside it.
According to Mathrubhumi, Babu then tried contacting customer care, but the only response he got was an apology for the inconvenience caused.
It is still unclear how an actual passport ended up inside the package.
It is highly likely that Salih had purchased the passport cover in the past, but returned it for some reason without realising that his document was inside it.
According to Babu, he tried contacting Salih, but it was unsuccessful as there was no contact number listed on the passport.
He has now sent the passport to the postal address mentioned on it, hoping that it will reach Salih.
