The Ministry of External Affairs has released updated mobile numbers, WhatsApp numbers and email id to coordinate repatriation if Indian nationals stranded in Afghanistan, which is now under the control of the Taliban.
For effective coordination, India on Thursday urged its nationals staying in Afghanistan to contact Special Afghanistan Cell set up by the Indian government to coordinate repatriation and other requests from the war-ravaged country.

MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi took to Twitter to announce the helpline numbers and email id to coordinate the repatriation of the Indian nationals in Afghanistan.
The?Special Afghanistan Cell has been set up to monitor the evacuation process of the Indian nationals from and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is looking after the whole process of repatriation.
"We urge all Indian nationals in Afghanistan requiring assistance to contact our Special Afghanistan Cell immediately for support," the external affairs stated.
Ever since the Taliban took control over Afghanistan, the MEA has repeatedly assured that it is in touch with the representatives of Afghan Sikh and Hindu communities and will facilitate their repatriation to India who wishes to leave the war-torn country.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that the Indian government is working with the US and other countries to bring stranded Indians from Afghanistan.
"We are working with international partners in this regard, principally the US, because they control the airport," Jaishankar said while addressing reporters at the UN Security Council.
The External Affairs Minister informed that France helped India in the repatriation process and took back some Indians to Paris from Afghanistan.
"So, I think that was the right thing to do. But in terms of the longer perspective, we have a historical relationship with the Afghan people and I think that relationship will continue to guide our thoughts," he said.
