Ghost staff has been a major problem in almost every industry in India. The scams related to ghost employees are in news every now and then. In the latest case, reported from Bengaluru, more than 2,000 'ghost' paramedics were trained at the Hubballi Health and Family Welfare Training Centre (HFWTC) in the city. An official data has revealed that the training of 2,752 doctors, paramedic and Ayush medical officers never took place.?

Reports by the Hubballi Centre to the State Institute of Health and Family Welfare, 554 doctors got a Basic Medical Obstetric Care training, 2,122 nurses and midwives were trained and 76 AYUSH medical officers were trained at the centre. The misdealing came to light when the figures and attendance records didn¡¯t match.
