India is a land of many religions and cultures. Unity and diversity, that has always been our motto. Time and again we have seen religions stand in solidarity with one another. That is the real India. One such example was witnessed at the farmers' protest in Delhi.??
The farmers have reached the Delhi border from Punjab to protest the Farm Laws. They want the government to hear their pleas. The movement is gaining momentum and even foreign heads of state have spoken on the issue in their public addresses, a case in point being Canada's PM Justin Trudeau.?
Now while most of the farmers who came from Punjab are Sikhs, there are some among them who are Hindus and Muslims. For Muslims, it is customary to pray by offering Namaz and for those who follow the tradition strictly, even a protest cannot stop them from doing their religious duties.?
In this video posted on YouTube by Deccan Digest, we see Muslims are offering Namaz. But the best part is how the Sikhs are standing in solidarity as they perform their prayers. No communalism, not tolerance, just brotherhood. Take a look:?
?Needless to say, it did make one emotional. Here is one reaction:?
?What it shows is the true face of India, the feeling of secularism that we enjoy. It is what the nation is all bout and always has been. One moment can impact in a big way and this is just that.?
It was a simple gesture by the Sikhs as the Muslims prayed. But what it conveyed to those watching was a sense of unity and harmony. And what more could one ask for????
