A heartwarming video has emerged from Tamil Nadu, showing a man giving an emergency CPR to an injured monkey.
The video from Perambalur in Tamil Nadu showed a man, identified as Prabhu is seen giving CPR and water to an injured monkey.
According to local media reports the incident happened on December 10 in Othiyam Samathuvapuram village.
Prabhu, who works as a cab driver told the media that he found the monkey, which was injured in a stray dog attack on top of a tree.
He then chased away the stray dogs and brought the injured animal down.?
However, as the monkey was unconscious, Prabhu gave it CPR. In the video, he can also be seen speaking to the injured monkey.?
After the monkey regained consciousness, Prabhu gave it water and later took it to a veterinary hospital on a bike.
"Let us go to the hospital." Prabhu can be heard telling the injured monkey which was lying in his arms.
At the veterinary hospital, the injured monkey was administered glucose and vaccine and handed over to the Forest Department.
The monkey has been kept under observation for rabies as it was bitten by stray dogs. If the monkey shows no signs of infection, it will be released into the wild after observation.
Prabhu told local media that he had done a first-aid training course in 2010, which helped him take care of the injured monkey.
