During the inaugural Khat sabha of Rahul Gandhi's UP Kisan Yatra in Deoria, People looked more interested in the Khats?(cots) than listening to Rahul Baba.
The Congress Sabha turned into a comedy scene when people started fighting over the possession of Khats as soon as Rahul Gandhi finished speaking. The people who had come to listen to Rahul Gandhi took away the 2000 odd cots or Khats which were supposed to travel with Congress cavalcade during Rahul"s 2500 kms Kisan Yatra.?
If you didn't already know a bid to outdo Modi, Congress is now creating a series on the lines of the '?hai Pey Charcha' that got Modi to power. Only the Congress, Rahul Gandhi version will not have any chai and will be called (wait for it) *drumrolls* Khat Sabha. Ahem.
So convinced is the grand old party of this that more than 1500 khats and 1000 pillows have already been ordered for Rahul Gandhi's 2500 km UP kisan yatra that starts today.

?"My yatra from Deoria to Delhi starting September 6 is a campaign to secure the rights of the poor, farmers and labourers in government resources," Rahul's office had tweeted a couple of days back. The move is seen as a remedy for woes which have kept Congress out of power in ?UP for the last 27 years and Rahul Gandhi is ready devise any strategy to win the trust of the voters of UP back.
The 'Deoria to Dilli yatra', which will start from Panchlari Kritpura village, also includes door to ?door campaign and collecting 'Kisan Mangpatras' (charter of demands of the farmers), one to one interaction on the Khat with farmers ?of ?each village his yatra will pass by.

All the 1500 Khats will travel along with cavalcade and will come into service when Rahul will discuss their issues.
Congress had lost trust of farmers in UP and that's the reason why it has been out of power for the last 27 years. Congress in order re-win that lost faith wants to use Khat, a symbol of comfort on which most of the peasants relax after a days hard work in fields.?
On the first two days, Rahul will cover Kushinagar, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabirnagar and Basti besides Deoria. The strategy is believed to be devised by none other than ?Prasant Kishore whom the Congress hired especially for UP election after Kishore's great show for Nitish Kumar In Bihar in last years assembly polls.
