Hundreds of thousands of tourists spread across the north Chilean desert to experience a total eclipse of the sun viewed from beneath the world's clearest skies. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the Earth and the sun, plunging the planet into darkness. It happens only rarely in any given spot across the globe. Unfortunately, the total solar eclipse was not visible in India, as it mostly transcended over the Pacific Ocean and the South American countries.?
The eclipse had to follow an 11,000 km path, mostly over the open ocean. People flocked to witness the epic solar eclipse and these images are proof how lovely the marvellous solar eclipse looked.?
