Charanjit Singh Atwal, a Sikh taxi driver with over 30 years of experience in Melbourne, Australia, has gained attention for his honesty. He returned approximately 8,000 Australian dollars (around Rs 4.53 lakh) to a passenger who had left the cash in the backseat of his taxi.
In an Instagram post by the page @bramalea.rd, Atwal told a reporter that he keeps finding things left behind by passengers in his car. Recently, he discovered around $8,000 in the backseat and immediately took the cash to the police. He said the thought of keeping the cash never crossed his mind.
Without a second thought, he took the discovered cash to the local police station, ensuring it would be safely returned to its rightful owner.When asked if he expected or received a reward for his virtuous act, Atwal humbly responded, ¡°No, I don¡¯t need a reward.¡±
