US President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday named Pam Bondi as the new Attorney General after his first nominee to the post, Matt Gaetz, withdrew amid a House Ethics Committee probe. The 59-year-old Bondi, a former Florida Attorney General and Trump loyalist, had previously served on the Opioid and Drug Abuse Commission during his term as US President.
With the nomination of Bondi, yet another woman has joined the ranks of Trump 2.0, which kickstarted the process by appointing the first woman White House Chief of Staff.
Susan Wiles, a former Trump campaign manager, was the first person to be nominated by the President-elect to Trump 2.0. Wiles, who was part of the Trump campaign team, was appointed as the White House Chief of Staff, the first for a woman.
Elise Stefanik was the second woman nominated by Trump, and she has been appointed as the new US ambassador to the UN.?
A five-term congresswoman from New York, Stefanik has been a strong ally of Trump and at one point was considered among the possible Vice President candidates.
Kristi Noem, the Governor of South Dakota, was named by Trump as his new Homeland Security Secretary. The 52-year-old Noem is described as a rancher, farmer, small business owner, and New York Times bestselling author.?
Noem was also considered one of the strong contenders for the position of Trump's running mate.
Linda McMahon, the former CEO of WWE, was named as the new Education Secretary by Donald Trump.?
McMahon had previously served as the leader of the Small Business Administration under Trump during his first term in office.
Tulsi Gabbard, the former Democrat who recently joined hands with Trump, has been appointed as the new Director of National Intelligence, an appointment that has raised some eyebrows in the Republican Party and among the intelligence community.
Another woman named to be a part of Trump 2.0 is Karoline Leavitt.?
The 27-year-old Trump loyalist has been appointed as the White House Press Secretary.
