India finally wrapped up the Test series 2-1 thanks to their 8-wicket in Dharamsala over Australia.
Steve Smith apologised to the Indian team for his reactions on Day 3 when Murali Vijay claimed a catch which was ruled not out. However, a lot of damage already been done.

Not just the Aussies, the Indians too have not held back. It must be remembered that ahead of the series Smith had given his team the green signal to sledge India. But if they thought Kohli's boys were going to take it quietly, that was a mistake.
Let's take a look at the exchanges between the players which highlighted the series:

During the Chennai Test, Smith looked to the dressing room to take a call on a review and Kohli intervened. The umpires had to then tell Smith to take a decision quickly. Kohli went on to say that the Australians had done it many times before. While Smith admitted he had a 'brain-fade', he rubbished Kohli's claims that they were always looking to the dressing room for calls on review.?

Kohli had injured his shoulder while diving. Maxwell was seen holding his shoulder and seemed to mock the Indian captain's injury with a smile on his face which did not go down well with many people.?

Kohli was not going to take it lying down. When former departed he celebrated by holding his injured shoulder, clearly making fun of Maxwell's mockery.

Renshaw was not ready as someone was passing the sight-screen. He pulled out and in anger Ishant threw the ball to the keeper. Renshaw mouthed off a few words and Ishant too gave him a piece of his mind. He eventually got him out and the celebration said it all.

Maxwell's dismissal was a tight one despite the umpire giving it out. As the Indians celebrated, Wade came in to confront them. Jadeja got into a verbal feud with him and had to be pulled back by other players.

Vijay's took a catch and the Aussie innings had ended. Even as the opener rushed back to pad up replays showed he had grassed it. He had to come out again as the innings resumed and Smith, who was clearly not happy was seen calling Vijay a cheat.
