WWE superstar Sami Zayn has become the latest to enter the 30-man over-the-top battle royale at Royal Rumble 2025. Zayn declared himself a participant in the Royal Rumble on the January 20 episode of WWE Raw.
Zayn, who has never won the WWE Championship, said he has waited 14 years and needs it now.
"I've had a great life, okay? I've had a great career. I don't feel like I need the World Championship to complete me. You guys have supported me throughout the years. And believe it or not, your support through the years has meant more to me than any world championship could ever mean. So no, I don't need the World Championship. But damn it, I want it! Because 14-year-old me wants it," he said.
Zayn was then interrupted by Kevin Owens, who made his way into the ring. KO, who reminded Zayn of the matches they had together, also reminded him that they haven't faced off for a WWE Championship yet and added that it could happen at WrestleMania 41.
With the entry of Zayn, the number of WWE superstars confirmed for the men's Royal Rumble 2025 has risen to nine. The others are?LA Knight, John Cena, CM Punk, Jey Uso, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre and Rey Mysterio.
