Uttarakhand government is gearing up to host the 38th National Games, commencing on January 28th. With the focus on deploying 1,200 specialised sports volunteers, approximately 2,300 general volunteers are currently being selected. The specialised volunteers, provided by the National Federation of Sports in India, bring a wealth of experience from national and international competitions.?
With over 30,000 individuals having registered, the recruitment process for general volunteers is currently underway. Candidates who are undergoing online training will selected based on the online examination results. While general volunteers will be responsible for managing logistics, such as parking and transportation, the specialised sports volunteers will focus on the core of sports management.?
According to Prashant Arya, Additional Chief Executive Officer of the National Games Secretariat, specialised sports volunteers will dedicate themselves to work alongside general volunteers, with both groups stationed at various locations.?
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed that Uttarakhand is all set to host the 38th National Games. He highlighted that it's a proud moment for the state with people from all sections of society eagerly contributing to the event. This grand celebration of sports is expected to significantly boost sports development in the state.
