Reported first by Liliputing, BlackBerry is ending support for legacy services for BlackBerry OS as well as BlackBerry PlayBook OS.?
This basically means if you¡¯ve got a functioning BlackBerry running the classing OS 7.1 or the newer BB 10, then as of January 4 2022, they're going to lose support for making phone calls, SMSs as well as 911 emergency calls.?
BlackBerry has also warned that users could experience unreliability with Wi-Fi, mobile data. Moreover, apps such as BlackBerry Link, BlackBerry? Desktop Manager, BlackBerry Protect, BlackBerry Messenger, BlackBerry Blend will also experience limited functionality.?
Another device that would experience the loss of crucial services will be Blackberry¡¯s cute 7-inch tablet, Blackberry Playbook. However, it doesn¡¯t seem like it would hit hard for many, considering Blackberry themselves discontinued the product within a year of launch.?

Looks like this is it for BlackBerry, and I for one am really sad to be writing this, reminiscing all the good times I¡¯ve had on my BlackBerry Curve 8520, whether it was the fun and tactile texting experience or just the ease of texting a friend or a colleague on BBM or even the music player, that offered convenient navigation of your favourite tracks and dedicated media playback buttons to not dive into the phone if you don¡¯t need to.?
