WhatsApp is surely the most popular texting platform out there. And over the last few weeks, we¡¯ve been seeing WhatsApp roll out one feature or another to keep its users happy.?

However, its competing app, Telegram, with its recent update has really upped the ante and here¡¯s how with its four, newly-introduced features it has become a far better app than WhatsApp right now.
The December update brought on-board in-app translation, where users can convert messages received from a user or a group. Users will see a translate button for messages that are sent in languages other than the default language of the device. To enable the feature, you¡¯ll need to head to Settings > Language.?
Just like iMessage, Facebook Messenger, Telegram has also received a Quick Reactions feature where users can react using a bunch of emojis including thumb emoji, heart emoji, party, starstruck, poop and many others that can be manually configured from the settings.
Don¡¯t want to spoil the ending of a movie for someone or hide something that could be disturbing to others??
Now Telegram users get the ability to hide a particular message that can be opened only if the recipient wants to see it, by tapping on it. This feature isn¡¯t new as iMessage has had it for a while but it is a much-needed inclusion nonetheless.?

Telegram¡¯s newest update also brings a bunch of punchy, animating emojis that are sure to spice up your group and personal chats.
This includes a flaming hot animation, LOL animation, snowflakes and starstruck. This is definitely the coolest inclusion made on this update, in my opinion.?
Telegram offers a unique way to add someone new to your Telegram account, by simply scanning a QR code on the user¡¯s device. The new update now allows users to creatively customize the barcode, with the colour or emoji of their choice.
