The idea of electric motorcycles is a new one but one company that has managed to make its mark in the industry in a comparatively short duration is Zero Motorcycles. The firm already has as many as four electric motorcycle offerings and has also collaborated with other companies for similar products. Remember the ¡®Jai and Veeru¡¯ ride and the four-wheeled scooter by Quadro?
Now, the US based company seems to be working on a new product. Zero has recently released a teaser of its upcoming fully electric bike, which is calls the SR/F. As per the teaser, the bike will be a naked roadster and has been built on an entirely new platform.

There are a few aspects that can be confirmed through the teaser. For instance, the Zero SR/F will come with a LED headlamp and daytime running lamps (DRLs). The motorcycle is expected to have a sleek and sharp design with upside down forks at the front.
While no other specification of the electric bike is known for now, it can be well assumed that it will be powered by one of the three recently launched batteries by the company. In case Zero opts to offer the largest of the three, the bike could easily cover a range of 350 kms within city commute.

Recently, India¡¯s supposedly first ever electric motorcycle was spotted doing test runs on the roads. Once the bike arrives in the country, other automakers are also expected to come up with similar choices in the Indian market. Whether Zero Motorcycles will be following the route, that¡¯s not sure for now. But if and when it does, Zero Motorcycles will have a strong portfolio to compete against, complete with super-moto and street naked models.
