Listen up, iPhone users! WhatsApp is currently rolling out a feature exclusively for Apple iPhone users (for now, at least). Most high-end smartphones these days allow you to extract images from texts by scanning it, and now, the feature is becoming a part of WhatsApp on iOS.
In version 23.5.77 on WhatsApp, you can extract text straight from an image. As?WABetaInfo pointed out, the new feature comes after a recent update that rolled out a sticker making tool. Now, the new feature allows WhatsApp users on iOS to extract text from images straight from the app.
The new feature was initially available to beta testers on beta version iOS 23.1.0.73. Now, the app is rolling out a new feature to everyone who installs iOS 23.5.77 update.?
Simply open the app and open an image containing text. At this point, you should be able to see a new option that is only available on the latest version of the app on iOS 16.

The feature doesn't, however, work with one-time-images that is essentially used to exchange expiring images. This feature on iOS is called Live Text and allows users to extract information from pictures and videos found online, in addition to functionality in apps like Camera and Notes.
