A new WhatsApp feature is built for people who keep hitting the wrong button when trying to delete a message.
If you've ever been in the uncomfortable situation of pressing 'Delete for Me' instead of pressing 'Delete for Everyone' while trying to get rid of a message, you know how it feels.
Once the message is invisible from your end, there's not much one can do to change the scenario. But now, WhatsApp has introduced an 'Accidental Delete' feature to protect people from such messy situations.
If your goal was to 'Delete for Everyone' but you ended up pressing 'Delete for Me,' WhatsApp will now offer a 5-second-long window that allows users to reverse the accidental deletion, and then click on 'Delete for Everyone.'

The feature is now available to everyone on Android and iOS and gives users power to get rid of messages if they accidentally click on the wrong button. 'Accidental Delete' would be of most utility to people who juggle between professional and casual groups on WhatsApp.
Adding another delete feature gives WhatsApp users more control over their content and saves everyone the discomfort of sending the wrong message to the wrong group and then having to deal with it forever by clicking on the wrong button.
