Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal said that users can now remove orders from their order history on the meal delivery service. "Use it responsibly," Goyal answered to "Karan and many others" in his July 12 message.?
Karan Singh, a Zomato client, complained in a December 2023 post about not being able to delete order history, which he called as the "worst thing". In response to Karan's article, Goyal introduced a new Zomato function that sparked a social media conversation.
"For Karan and many others, Zomato now allows you to remove orders from your order history. Use it wisely," Goyal said, adding, "Sorry, it took us some time to prioritize and construct. This affected several systems and microservices. "We are currently rolling it out to all customers."
Last year, Karan stated in his article that he was unable to conduct late-night orders since his wife "caught" him doing so by monitoring Zomato's order history.? ??
¡°@zomato this is sorry to say that I cannot order late-night orders now because my wife has caught me ordering late-night orders by checking my order history. And the worst thing is I cannot delete order history. Bye-bye Zomato or make me delete order history as when I order things,¡± Karan had said in his post.? ? ?
The post's comments area contains opinions, suggestions, and some amusing answers to Zomato's new feature. Several users proposed that a "incognito mode" be added to the application instead of "deleting order history". This allows the user to recall the food items for which an order has been placed previously.?
For example, here's what one user said: "You should soft delete your order history! If a user wishes to recall an order, they should simply recall the meal items ordered from which restaurant, not the entire order history with date and delivery information!! Perhaps some users would benefit from this choice as well!" Check the post here.
