In a strange incident, a Hyderabad student complained about Zomato delivering the wrong food order and then asked her to "please have it." An odd chain of events started when Ananya, a woman from Hyderabad, placed an order for chicken Manchurian on Zomato. Instead, the eatery used the food delivery platform to send her chicken 65.
Ananya reported the disparity to Zomato and was able to speak with a customer support agent, which is no longer simple to do as many customers have noted since Zomato launched its AI chatbot Zia to handle customer complaints.
However, even the Zomato representative, Syeda, was unable to resolve Ananya's issue. Instead, she was instructed to "please have" the erroneous dish served to her.
Ananya noted in a screenshot of her discussion with a Zomato staffer, which she published on X, "I ordered chicken Manchuria, not chicken 65." After a five-minute wait, the customer service representative responded: "We are confident you will enjoy it. Please have it."?
"Average Zomato experience," the Hyderabad student said, attaching a screenshot of the interaction on X.
The exchange has created much hilarity on the social media network, where it has nearly 531.1K Views in?a?single?day. Here's what people wrote.
