9-year-old Jack Davis wants to be a planetary protection officer. A job opening that was posted on US jobs had an interesting candidate, who showed an interest. ¡°My name is Jack Davis and I would like to apply for the planetary protection officer job," he wrote in a letter. " ¡°I may be nine but think I would be fit for the job. One of the reasons is my sister says I am an alien also I have seen almost all the space and alien movies I can see,¡± he said.

The job requires someone who would assist with the "avoidance of organic-constituent and biological contamination in human and robotic space exploration." Jack thinks he is perfect for the post as he has seen Marvel ¡®Agent of Shield¡¯ and is great at playing video games.
Jack signed off the letter as ¡®The Guardian of The Galaxy¡¯ (now how cool is that!)
Pat came a reply from NASA¡¯s Dr. James L. Green, the director of NASA's planetary science division. "We are always looking for bright future scientists and engineers to help us, so I hope you will study hard and do well in school. We hope to see you here at NASA one of these days!" Green's letter responded.?

It¡¯s great to see young talent to be interested in work at such a tender age. Kudos to NASA to encourage them in their endeavour.
