Whale sighting has been on most travel bucket lists. Seeing the majestic creature up close can be a magnificent experience for tourists who love the water and its habitants. However, watching a whale give birth has to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience that one can rarely plan out.
When some tourists were visiting California, U.S., they opted for a whale sighting adventure at Dana Point where pacific gray whales are a common sight. The sailors say they watch almost a thousand whales every year during their migratory period which lasts from December to May. While tourists were sure to watch the whales on the trip they did not anticipate that they will be treated to an extraordinary view.
The tourists witnessed the birth unexpectedly and were presently surprised to be one of the only people to have witnessed such a scenery. The video captured the whale and her calf moments after the birth as the giant creature nuzzled close to its little one, warming the hearts of the chosen ones. The captain on board also shared how the experience was a first for him and his team also, ¡°This is a first for all of us,¡¯ he said over the loudspeaker. ¡®We¡¯ve never seen this actually happen,¡± he continued.

The co-president of the safari company told Metro.co.uk, ¡°We¡¯ve seen babies shortly after they were born, we¡¯ve seen baby dolphins that were less than an hour old. But this is a first.¡±
When the captain on board first laid eyes on the whale and saw a pool of red around her, they thought the whale had been injured but things got clear pretty soon, ¡°It went from horror to pure joy and astonishment,¡± said the captain.
In the video, it is clear that the mama whale is trying to get the calf close to the surface of the water. The co-president explained, ¡°The mother¡¯s first order of business is to get the baby to the surface.¡± She continued, ¡°It¡¯s incredible that they are born knowing not to breathe underwater.¡±
People online were delighted to watch the video. A user commented, ¡°She wanted to share the love. Mama whale. How beautiful. But I gotta keep it real. If I was on that little boat, and something 20x the size of that boat was flipping around beside and under it, I may have messed myself.¡± Another added, ¡°Coolest thing I¡¯ve ever seen.¡±
