The situation is usually tense and potentially dangerous whenever man and animal come face-to-face. However, there are many instances when people have come forward to help animals in distress, or rescue them from places they cannot manage to get out of on their own.?
One such instance of the forest department working for hours to rescue an elephant stuck in a ditch was shared on Twitter by IFS Parveen Kaswan.
According to the tweet thread, a farmer noticed the animal in the ditch. It was trying to get out?but couldn't.
The farmer then informed the Forest Department staff. The caption of the viral video reads, ¡®A huge elephant?fell into 15 ft ditch at Chittoor. After hours of operation it was successfully saved by FD team. He decided to stay & thank later¡¯.?
The IFS credited the video to Sunil Reddy, DFO Chittoor.
A JCB tractor was used to rescue the elephant. The post mentions that the use of JCB tractor is usually avoided as there are chances that elephants get injured but the elephant was rescued safely and went back to the forest.?
If it wasn¡¯t for the forest department and the empathetic farmer, the elephant might have been stick in the ditch for a much longer time.?
Thanks to the efforts of the staff, another animal is safe.
