A brave man in Bhopal fought off three scooter-borne robbers who waylaid him as he was going to deposit cash in a private bank.?
The incident took place in Kolar locality on Wednesday morning, when a cash management company's cash custodian was on his way to deposit Rs 3.10 lakh collected from major clients, The Times of India reported.?
One of the accused pointed a pistol at the 37-year-old cash custodian and attempted to rob the bag.?
However, the man showed courage and fought back, snatching the gun from the accused in the process. He pelted stones and hurled mud on the face of the accused and did not let them rob the bag.
The man's bravery paid off as the accused fled the spot empty handed on their scooter.?
The whole incident was caught on CCTV camera fitted outside a commercial building. The incident took place in broad daylight on a busy road but no one came to the aid of the brave man fighting with the accused, as per TOI.?
Kolar police acting on the cash custodian's complaint registered an attempt to loot case against the accused and launched a manhunt to nab them.
As per Kolar police, Jagdish Yadav works as a collection agent cum cash custodian in a private cash management company. The company takes contracts for cash management at various ATMs across the country and also collects cash from private clients and deposits them in banks through cash custodians.
Jagdish told TOI that he collected more than Rs 3.10 lakh from four business points in Kolar area and was going to deposit them at a private bank located on Kolar Road.
Detailing the entire sequence of events, he said that when he reached in front of the bank with the bag hanging on his shoulder, three scooter-borne masked accused were already waiting for him. As he reached near them, one of the accused riding pillion on the scooter, got down and tried to snatch his bag. When he protested and grabbed the bag, the accused pointed a pistol at him. He grabbed the pistol with both his hands and a scuffle took place between them.
Jagdish said that he started raising an alarm after which the accused fled the spot on their scooter. He then called police and filed a complaint against the accused.
