With the current inflation and rising prices of almost everything, one also needs an increased salary to survive and keep up with the current prices. So, a CEO of a company who is paying his staff a minimum salary of $80k (Rs 63,65,008, approximately) per year has called for other companies to step up and pay fairly too.
CEO?Dan Price heads Gravity Payments in Seattle. The man had revealed the impressive package he offers employees, including $80k (?66k) salaries as standard, remote and flexible working as well as paid parental leave.
Now, he is asking that other companies do the same for their employees stating that they should be treated with respect. He wrote his views and opinions in the form of a Twitter post.?
He said, "My company pays an $80k min wage, lets people work wherever they want, has full benefits, paid parental leave, etc. We get over 300 applicants per job. 'No one wants to work is a hell of a way of saying 'companies won't pay workers a fair wage and treat them with respect'."
While many thought this was a great offer and criticised their own companies for not paying enough, some thought that this may be a little too much. One user said, "Makes sense why I can't find a decent employer that would accommodate for my needs as an Autistic, disabled individual. There are no jobs, or the jobs fill up immediately. I've been filling out apps for a year now... still no luck."

Price had previously gone viral after he shared how he gave all employees at Gravity Pay a salary of $70k (?52,000) per year, before increasing it to $80k.?He previously shared his company ethos on Twitter, writing: "6 years ago today I raised my company's min wage to $70k. Fox News called me a socialist whose employees would be on bread lines.
"Since then our revenue tripled, we're a Harvard Business School case study & our employees had a 10x boom in homes bought. Always invest in people."
Many people criticised his work ethic and questioned how his company is going to survive. But Price shut them down stating how his company had improved hugely since the moves were implemented.
