In a LinkedIn post, Gupta recalled how, on the initial day of the offsite, the HR department unexpectedly announced a two-hour strategy meeting for the leadership team.?
This announcement surprised everyone, as there had been no prior request for presentations, and impromptu meetings were uncommon.?
Upon reaching the venue, instead of encountering the usual setup of tables and conference arrangements, the team was surprised to find an empty room with two choreographers.?
To their amazement, what was supposed to be a strategy meeting was a two-hour session dedicated to learning Bollywood dance routines.?
These routines were slated to be performed onstage later that evening in front of the entire audience, numbering over 300.
Gupta recounted the team's progression from initial confusion, questioning "Why are we here?" to gradual acceptance, "This is not so bad."?
Finally, to collective triumph, "We killed it together," upon stepping off-stage.?
The experience was described as enjoyable, competitive, fostering great bonding, and notably unconventional.
