Parents do whatever they can for the happiness of their child. Some parents, who cannot afford to fulfill the exact wishes, try what they can to come close to them. A father in Tamil Nadu not only did something awesome for his son, but also made sure it was as environmentally friendly and unique as possible. We are talking about?Suryamoorthy, a Madurai based carpenter who made a wooden bicycle for his 7-year-old son.
Talking to ANI he said "I made this bicycle in 8 days. Except for the tire, rim, brakes, & chain, every other part of the bicycle is made of wood."
In a video posted by the agency, one can see the father giving the wooden bike some final touches and riding it himself to show how smoothly it works.?
Does this not exemplify the idea of ¡®Atmanirbhar Bharat¡¯ that has become quite the motto of Indians, while being eco-friendly at the same time?
Sometime ago, another carpenter - this one from Punjab -?Dhani Ram Saggu, exemplified Atmanirbhar Bharat with his hand-crafted wooden bicycle.?
Zirapkpur-based Dhani Ram decided to delve into the concept of eco-friendly bicycles, and his idea is such a huge hit that he is now getting orders from Canada and South Africa!?
According to the Hindustan Times report,? Saggu was among those rendered jobless, after the lockdown was imposed in March. He made up his mind to not give in to gloom and hopelessness, and used the time to come up with something unique.
