Put on your seat belts and hang tight as we take you down memory lane. A new post by journalist Priyanka Thirumurthy has taken the internet by storm. The Twitter user shared a photo of a newspaper that listed the times for all of the 2000s shows that were airing on the OG childhood channel, Cartoon Network.?.
The newspaper clipping shared by the journalist took people online to a time when life was all about cartoons and games.?The early 2000s, when the Cartoon Network channel aired some of the most famous shows to date. The list on the clipping shows what was popular at the time.
Everything from Tom & Jerry to Scooby Doo was on the list. Even shows like Courage the Cowardly Dog and Dexter¡¯s Laboratory were part of the line-up, which brought up some very precious memories for folks who came across the post. These shows are much more of a myth for children now, but back in the day, they were on every little kid¡¯s to-do list.
Cartoon Network was a constant companion on days when a sudden downpour forced you to stay home or on afternoons spent lounging in front of the television after school.?

Folks online were all over the newspaper clipping as they bathed in sweet nostalgia. A user shared, ¡°Before 2000s CN used to finish at 9pm with popeye being last show at 8.30, post which a TNT bomb would explode on screen to end cartoons for the night. Post 9pm it used to be black and white english songs/movies.¡±
Another fellow got back on the good old days and wrote, ¡°That 4pm Power Zone!! TV at its best. I remember racing home in my blue top gear cycle. I would even go to school early so that I can find a corner spot in the cycle shed and scoot out quickly.¡±
Much like the others, a folk got emotional, ¡°Literally me daily looking at newspaper to just read the names of different shows and how many times they are coming. Man I really miss those days much better than today's social media era.¡±
A user doubled down on the superiority of shows from back then, saying, "No Gen Z kid will never understand the pleasure of waiting for that "Power Extreme" in the Centurions and the Jetsons opening theme...! Pure Nostalgia."??
A commenter went down memory lane and penned, ¡°Brought me back memories. There was a time when TNT and cartoon network had to time share. TNT from 9pm to 6am and the rest for CN. Took me down the memory lane.¡±
A user had bigger plans for the channel, ¡°I seriously wish @cartoonnetwork starts its own OTT website and plays the good old cartoons like Jetsons, Centurions, Swat Cats, Top Cat, Adam¡¯s Family etc.¡±
