Recently, CloudSEK CEO Rahul Sasi shared a story about a female Uber cab driver from Bengaluru. Now, what's exciting and extremely delightful about his entire encounter with the driver is that she is a mother and she isn't letting that take the backseat.
The CEO was travelling in her cab when he noticed that the cab driver was driving with her daughter sitting in the front seat. Sasi then wrote a long post regarding this on his LinkedIn page.?
He started by writing how pleasantly surprised he was to see a lady driver pick him up. He added that when he sat inside the cab he noticed the kid along with the driver. This is when he asked the cab driver whether she was her daughter. Nandini then explained that the young girl, in fact, was her daughter and was on vacation, which is why she was babysitting and working together.
Sasi then detailed Nandini¡¯s story and it is bound to make you appreciate the woman's grit.?
¡°She wanted to be an entrepreneur, and she started a food truck a few years back with all her savings. But then covid hit, and she lost all the money invested. Post that, she started driving for Uber. She works 12 hours a day and tells me she doesn¡¯t mind working more if she has to. She wanted to save money and rebuild everything she had lost,¡± Sasi wrote.??
In further updates, Sasi disclosed that Uber country head Prabhjeet Singh had reached out to him to provide necessary help to Nandini.
The CEO shared a picture along with the post and it has gone immensely viral as well. People in the comments section have showered their love for the woman.?
One user wrote, "This happened with me too. I was travelling to Bangalore airport during COVID time by Airport taxi. After a few minutes of driving, the driver asked me mam "am I eligible for the moratorium? I asked why what happened? Then he told me that he is a post graduate he was not getting sufficient money to run his family so he decided to purchase 2 cars on loan and thought he would run another business with the revenue generated from one business. Unfortunately he was not getting the single passenger for/from the airport due to the COVID. After listening to him at that moment I could only give him the feasible solution to his problem and assured that he is eligible and get the benefits of the moratorium. One thing I can vouch on is India has lots of TALENT."
