From urinals, parking spaces to shops, pavements are so crowded that people hardly find any space to manoeuvre.?
In a bid to revamp the clogged pavements, a Hyderabad cop has taken it upon himself to provide a safe walking space for the residents.?
?IPS officer, Viswajit Kampati, who has been leading the anti-encroachment drive in the city has so far cleared?13,055 footpath encroachments.
In an interview with the Better India,?Kampati?stated that a total of six teams are involved in rooting out these encroachments across the city.?
While?850 establishments voluntarily demolished their establishments as per police notice, a lot more has to be done.?
The report states that the first, second and third Saturdays are dedicated to demolishing while the second is focused on stopping people from re-encroaching the cleared out spaces.?
