The apocalypse and the end of the world both refer to the complete destruction of life on Earth, as described in the book of Revelation.?
While the possibility of survival is uncertain, ex-government contractor Larry Hall claims his 'Survival Condo' - an underground shelter resembling a luxurious high-rise - can withstand a global catastrophe.?
The bunker is also armed with guns and camouflage gear for self-defence and was created from an Atlas missile silo. With increased demand during the pandemic, Hall has started constructing similar structures in the USA, Europe, and Asia.
As?per the website,?"Our objective when first approaching this project was to leave no stone unturned, and to ensure every detail, from safety, feature and function, to style comfort and luxury¡every aspect of this endeavour had to be just right."
The Survival Condo's website also lists several other amenities within the bunker, including a general store, custom bar and lounge, digital weather station, and a Communication Center with on-site internet access.?
Although its ability to endure a doomsday scenario remains uncertain, the bunker boasts impressive features such as a nine-foot-thick upper section made of epoxy-hardened concrete walls and a dome structure capable of withstanding winds over 500 mph.?
"This project has the advantages of letting the members own a piece of history, the coolness of a missile base, the protection of a nuclear-hardened bunker, and the features of a luxury condo,"?said Hall.
Securing a spot in one of the silos is possible, but it comes with a hefty price tag ranging from $1.5 million (?1.2m) to $4.5 million (?3.6m). Is it designed only for millionaires? Well, it looks like it.
